The schedule will be determined in September, depending on the number of groups and the levels of the various students. Since the majority of our students have been "au pairs", we have generally made schedules according to their needs. Classes are in the morning, but you can consult with us if you need a different schedule. Classes are tought five days a week: from monday to friday, and each class is 1 hour and 30 minutes. In order to know your level os Spanish, we do an extensive and complete level test (grammar, writing, conversation), which you can do when you come to the school. The test last approximately an hour and a half, and is very effective in determining your exact level.
The maximun number of students per class is 15, but during the extra activities we are all together. In addition to the books, we work with a lot of supplementary material (exercises, activities, grammar, games, etc) in order to make the classes more dynamic, fun, effective and open to participation. There are many other details, like Tea & Coffe (each morning you can have tea or coffe if you wish), a small video library where you can borrow movies to watch at home, Pictures Service,,, and more!!
If you are interested in taking the official Spanish exam, the DELE (the most important and recognized title at the global level), in MaUs SchoOL we specialize in preparing students for this exam: we have copies of exams from the previous years, and there are extra classes and moke exams (for free) during April and May to assure that our students obtain the title. We can prepare students at any level. It is easy with MaUs!
In addition to the classes, the SchoOL offers other activities to its students, like small parties and, above all, trips to diferents places in Andalucía. During the 2009-2010 school year we have made trips to cities like the typical andalusian village of Aracena and its Cave of Wonders, the ancient muslim Caliphate of Córdoba, and the monumental Granada with the Alhambra, essential in the Spanish History; we have visited the Roman city of Itálica, and we have spent weekends at Carnaval, on the Beach and in a Country House,,, and we don't forget the Night in Sevilla, the Feria, Tapas Culture,,, These are fun activities in wich students can make friends, invite other friends and practice their Spanish. We also teach Spanish Culture, wich sometimes includes going out at night to have fun! ,,,and we try to do everything as cheaply as possible.
